De Honingbes

The house and tiny house are currently being built (by ourselves). The buildings are made from natural materials, such as wood and hempcrete. This gives the buildings a nice and comfortable feel.

The name

Honingbes means honeyberry (Lonicera caerulea). It is one of our favorite fruits from the garden.

The area

The area in which De Honingbes is located is called Oosterwold. This is a self-builders area in Almere, just 30 minutes away from Amsterdam (by car). An important aspect of this area is urban agriculture, which makes this neighborhood a very green area.

Garden

We have a garden in the style of a small food forest with fruit trees, shrubs, nuts, herbs and there is a vegetable garden.
